American Institute of Chemical Engineers
About
The American Institute of Chemical Engineers connects students at NYU to professionals in industry, professors and peers. We help to foster a sense of community within the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Biomolecular Science community at NYU while contributing towards the professional development of our members.
Our popular events include:
-
The Professor Mixer where students can communicate with professors in a social, relaxed setting while having dinner with them.
-
Entrepreneurship panels featuring professionals in industry.
-
Destress events such as soap making, epoxy painting, tote bag making and candle making.
As of 2022 the following were introduced:
-
Chem-E Car: A VIP where students can collaborate in interdisciplinary teams to develop a vehicle powered chemical reactions and compete with other universities at the student conferences.
-
Meet the professor: Where students can learn more about a professor, their research and gain valuable advice.
